Snapshots of Seoul-Don’t eat the fish

February 19, 2007 at 11:10 am | Posted in Uncategorized | 2 Comments

This was a very common site on the streets of Seoul.  I called him the Fishman and he was out walking with his loot during the mid-morning hours.  On the up side the fish appeared to be frozen.  On the down side it was not currently on ice.  Or covered.  It was just kinda out there.  Yum.

  1. Oh, this brings back memories! I visited Pusan on one trip, which has to be the dried squid capital of the world. I remember walking up a street that was literally lined with dried squid sellers on both sides. There was a vendor selling little girls’ dresses wedged in between a couple of the squid stands, and I bought my daughter a cute little sundress from him. But when I got it home the smell was absolutely unreal – you guessed it, squid. We could never get that smell out, and always called it the fish dress.
